HENDRICKS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

The Hendricks County Sheriffs Department provides Limited Adult Criminal Histories. Faxed request will not be accepted. Please observe the following procedures:

1. The individual must complete the Hendricks County Sheriffs Department Limited Adult Criminal History Request form.

2. There is a $5.00 charge per request (exact change, no debit/credit cards or personal checks accepted) as defined in IC 5-14-3-8.

a. Exemption of fees as defined in IC 10-13-3-27 applies to State Law Enforcement agencies only.

3. The individual must provide a valid Indiana Drivers License or Indiana Identification Card showing an address in Hendricks County.

a. Individuals presenting a valid Indiana Drivers License and/or Indiana Identification card reflecting an out of county address are accepted on a case by case basis provided certain criteria is met.

Limited Adult Criminal History requests are completed between the hours of 8 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

4. If submitting by mail:

a. Include the completed and signed Hendricks County Sheriffs Department Limited Adult Criminal History Request Form.

b. Include a legible copy of Indiana Drivers License and/or Indiana Identification card as stated in #3 above.

c. Include a money order in the amount of $5.00 made payable to the Hendricks County Sheriffs Department.

d. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

e. Mail to: Hendricks County Sheriffs Department, Attention Records, Post Office Box 87, Danville, Indiana 46122

f. Please allow 7 to 14 days for processing and return.

No criminal history research will be performed on persons 17 years of age or younger as defined in IC 31-9-2-22.5.
